Happy New Year!
It’s hard to believe that another year has come and gone! I am excited about the start of 2011. I believe that God has many things in store for us this year, and I am looking forward to seeing what happens in the lives of our students.
We ended December on a great note. We were able to take 72 people to serve an inner city ministry in Dallas . It was great to see our students giving of their time to serve people that they didn't even know. Our students did such a awesome job!
We have several things we would like for you to be aware of:
-During the month of January, we will not be having our Sunday evening LifeGroups. Stay tuned for when they will start back up. We will be sure to give you a heads up.
-This year, our winter retreat will take place February 18-20th at the Rockin' C Ranch in Lindale , TX . We will be sending more information and permission slips home with the students in the coming weeks.
-Plans are underway for our Spring Break Mission Trip to the Dominican Republic from March 12th through March 19th. This trip is for our seniors. There are limited spots available. If you have a student interested in going, please have them contact me at the office (972-429-0868), and I can get information/forms to them right away. We are working on fundraisers for this trip.
-We have our dates for summer camp! We will be going to Camp Eagle July 10-16th. This will be our fourth year going to this camp. Every year we've gone, our students come home challenged to live out the things God had shown them while we were there. It’s going to be a great time!
It is such an honor to be able to work with your students. I believe that this generation has what it takes to bring change to their schools and our community. Please be praying that they would respond to the things that God wants to do in them and through them this year.
